The solution outlines foundations and pillars for systemic action to protect learners, keep schools open during crises, and build resilience through risk education and inclusive safety management.

A national school-based preparedness programme that uses classroom materials and a game to teach primary school children how to recognise risks and act safely in emergencies.

A comprehensive digital solution that equips residents and visitors of Estonia with standardized, actionable instructions to prepare for and respond to a wide array of crises, from natural disasters to cyber-attacks. The platform features an interactive household supply checklist, first-aid instructions, and survival guidelines tailored to the Estonian context. Its mobile application is designed to function entirely offline once downloaded, ensuring that citizens have uninterrupted access to life-saving information even during severe power or telecommunications outages.

Professional emergency services may, at times, be limited in their response capacity and are often forced to focus their efforts on providing only the most essential assistance. Ready2Help is especially beneficial when a large number of people are quickly needed to provide extra support. This includes physical assistance (e.g. filling sandbags, carrying goods), sheltering groups of people, relieving healthcare personnel or providing assistance by making resources available (e.g. places to sleep or means of transport).

The solution integrates a physical/digital guide with the "Home Fire Safety Checker," an online tool that categorizes household risk levels. Based on the results, the system offers tailored advice or triggers a professional home fire safety visit from local fire crews. It covers a wide range of hazards, including lithium battery safety, electrical maintenance, and specialized escape protocols for high-rise buildings.

This solution is an institutional textbook designed to provide school teachers with a structured framework for teaching civil protection as part of the compulsory Civic Education course. It offers detailed modules covering the history of the National Civil Protection Service, the scientific basis of diverse hazards, and practical self-protection measures. The textbook serves as an official reference to foster a culture of prevention and community resilience from an early age.

This handbook is a practical tool designed to help educators in Malta teach children and adolescents about disaster preparedness—especially earthquakes—through engaging, inclusive, and age-appropriate activities. Based on the Feel Safe methodology developed by Save the Children Italy, it offers a structured learning pathway (Explore–Experience–Participate), ready-to-use exercises, and guidance on addressing both the technical and emotional dimensions of emergencies.
